Are Kirinyaga residents regretting too early over Gvnr. Waiguru?

When the NYS scandals broke out, it was termed a Raila-Kikuyu hate propaganda and when Raila insisted that Waiguru had to resign, it caught bit of attention but in the end, the powerful Devolution CS had to go, and true to the African adage, east or west, home is best.

Governor Waiguru with thee friend cum accomplice, Kabura who she denied knowing at the investigative sittings.

And Kirinyaga welcomed her in style.

In quick political magic, her prominence cruised upwards and it became a believable whisper that the governorship was hers to grab.

Raising questions on her scandals and corruption allegations, locals defensively said “If she is a thief, she is our own thief, leave us in peace..”

Fast toward, even before counties fully operationalize, H.E Anne Waiguru finds herself involved in a cash scandal with the victim being the most unexpected, President Uhuru Kenyatta.

President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto giving their statement after the supreme court nullification ruling.

An excerpt in www.standardmedia.co.ke reads,

“Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has found herself in yet another scandal with county leaders over Sh51.9 million that was raised to campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election during the repeat president election that took place on October 26.

The Kirinyaga Governor said that Sh51.9 million had been contributed for President Uhuru’s re-election campaigns on 10 October 2017.

The Kirinyaga Couty leaders have challenged the committee handling the money to explain how it was spent since very few campaign activities were conducted in the area…”

If Governor Waiguru could have swindled funds meant for “her” President’s campaign, what more could she do?

How safe are Kirinyaga people’s funds which she’ll manage for the next five years?

Anyone from Kirinyaga?
