Babu Owino, possible next Embakasi East Legislator has spoke out on his take on Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho after speculation went rife on his recent endorsement for the Sultan followed by several vigorous campaign rallies and stopovers alongside the sultan in his Mombasa county.
“Sultan Joho is an encouragement to youths of this country and as a youth, I gladly associate with him. From his humble beginnings and unwavering loyalty to ODM, Governor Joho inspires me very much. I pray six times a day and I must mention the sultan and baba at least thrice.
He’s beyond intimidation by cartels as we all have seen. The thieving government has tried to intimidate him severally, despite the media uproar and outcry, but the sultan has never slackened his hold on the integrity and accountability rope. He has given that man of cholera sleepless nights and they even lost appetite. ”
A laughing smiling yet serious Babu Owino said.
Speaking on the relationship between Nairobi and Mombasa politics, Babu Owino quickly quipped,
“Unfortunately, I’ve found myself a darling to the youths and the oppressed. They demanded that I address them in Mombasa and added to my strong relationship with the sultan, I had to speak to them. They are also Kenyans and some of them have relatives in Embakasi East who have told them my good leadership abilities. ”
Hon. Babu Owino summed up by calling on Kenyans to elect NASA candidates with a lot of peace.
