Parents have been asked to take care of their disable children as they do to the normal ones.This is according to the kisumu central sub county director of education Mr.Charles Angiela.
While speaking during the friends day at Lutheran Special School in kisumu,mr Angiela said that most of the parents do neglect their disable children.He said that children do have equal rights despite their status.
He added that some of the parent do not want to take their sons and doughters who are disable to school so as to have basic education hence education is a right to every child in the country.
He therefore urged the parents to take equal responsibilty to their children despite their status of nature.He also requested them to provide the disable ones with enough education for the betterment of their lives.
On the other hand the headtecher of the school Lutheran for the special Mr.Richard Omondi said that they are having a lot of challenges in the school.
He said that most of the children in school are orphans and some are coming from vulnerable families that are not able to raise the fee for their children for the programm to run smoothly.
He also added that most of the disabled faces challenges of getting job in the field after school for they are not easily absorbed.
